Put the questions your visitors asked on the Penpot canvas
Overview
Penpot is an open source design and prototyping tool. The Asyntai plugin brings your real visitor questions into it.
Press one button and the questions people asked your chatbot appear on the canvas as cards. The same question from ten visitors becomes one card that says it was asked ten times, so the biggest topics stand out at once.
Teams use this to plan a help centre, to design a FAQ page with real questions, or to start a workshop with what customers really ask.
How It Works
Asyntai answers your visitors on your website and keeps every chat.
The plugin reads those chats through the Asyntai API. It groups the same question together, counts how often people asked it, and puts the most asked question first.
Each card holds the question, and under it the page the visitor was on, the country, and the topic. The cards sit on one board, five to a row, with a title that names the period.
Requirements
- A Penpot account, on penpot.app or on your own Penpot server
- An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the plugin uses the Asyntai API
Installation
Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Penpot:
Get Your API Key
Sign in to Asyntai, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.
Install the Plugin
Open a file in Penpot and press Ctrl + Alt + P to open the plugin manager. Paste this address into the box and press Install:

Penpot asks you to allow the plugin to edit the file and to keep data in the browser. Press Allow.
Paste the API Key
Press Open next to Customer Questions by Asyntai. Paste your key into the API key box and press Connect. Penpot keeps the key in your browser, so you type it one time.
Add the Questions
Choose the website, the period and how many questions you want. Press Add to canvas. The cards appear under everything already on the page, and the view moves to them.
What Is on a Card
The question is at the top of the card. The small line under it holds:
- How many visitors asked the same question, when more than one did
- The page the visitor was on
- The country of the visitor
- The topic Asyntai gave the chat
Tip: Choose All websites to mix the questions from every chatbot on your account, or pick one website to keep the canvas about one product.
Working With the Cards
Every card is a normal Penpot board with a flex layout, and the question and the detail line are normal text layers named Question and Details. You can restyle the cards, move them into your own layout, or copy the questions straight into a FAQ design.
Run the plugin again to add a new set. It never covers the cards that are already there.
Removing It
Press Ctrl + Alt + P, find Customer Questions by Asyntai in the list, and press the remove button next to it. To connect another account instead, open the plugin and press Use another API key.
