Squarespace Integration

Let the assistant answer with the real products, prices and stock from your Squarespace store

Create Account

Overview

This integration has two parts. You connect your Squarespace store once, and the assistant reads your catalogue through the Squarespace API. You then paste one line of code into Code Injection, which puts the chat bubble on every page of your site.

Squarespace has no way for an app to add a script to your site by itself, so the paste step is yours. It takes about a minute, and the connect page checks your site afterwards to confirm it worked.

What the Assistant Can Answer

  • Do you have this shirt in size M, and in blue
  • How much does it cost, and is there a discount right now
  • Is it in stock

Prices, options and stock come from your catalogue. Shipping and returns answers come from the rest of your website, which Asyntai reads separately.

Requirements

  • An Asyntai account. Creating one is free, and the Free plan is enough to test the widget.
  • A Squarespace plan that includes Code Injection. Core, Plus and Advanced include it.
  • Owner or administrator permission on the Squarespace site

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to your site:

Start the Connection

Open the Asyntai connect page for Squarespace. Squarespace shows you what the extension asks for.

Accept the Permissions

The extension asks to read your products and your stock levels. It never asks for your orders, your customers or your payment data.

Sign In to Asyntai

You land on an Asyntai page. Sign in, or create an account there. Your site address is filled in for you.

Paste the Code

Copy the code from the connect page. In Squarespace, open Settings, then Website, then Code Injection. Paste it into the Header box and save.

Check Your Site

Press Check my site on the connect page. It opens your site and tells you whether the chat is live. Squarespace can take a minute to publish the change.

Tip: Add your documents, questions and answers, and your instructions in the Asyntai Dashboard, so the assistant answers properly from the first visitor.

Keeping the Catalogue Fresh

We read your catalogue again every day, so new products, new prices and new stock levels reach the assistant on their own. You can also start a read yourself from the Asyntai dashboard at any time.

What We Read, and What We Do Not

  • We read visible products: name, description, tags, options, price, sale price and stock
  • We skip hidden products, so shoppers are never offered something your site does not show
  • We never read your orders, your customers or your payment data

Removing It

Remove the extension in your Squarespace account, then delete the pasted code from Code Injection. The chat bubble disappears and we stop reading your catalogue. You can also disconnect the site from your Asyntai dashboard.

Privacy

The extension reads only what it needs to answer questions about your shop, and it writes nothing back to your site. Asyntai receives visitor data only when a shopper opens the chat and writes a message. Privacy policy.

Plans & Pricing

The app is free, and it works on every Asyntai plan, including the Free plan. Each plan includes a monthly number of messages, shared across your store widget and all your integrations. Paid plans raise that number. View pricing.
