Coda Integration

Send what your team writes in Coda to your Asyntai knowledge base, and ask your assistant from a formula

Overview

Coda is a document tool where teams keep policies, product notes and answers to common questions. The Asyntai Pack sends that text to your knowledge base, so your chat assistant answers visitors from the same words your team already wrote. You can also ask your assistant a question inside a doc and get the answer in a cell.

How It Works

You install the Asyntai Pack in a Coda doc and connect it with your Asyntai API key. The Pack then gives you two formulas and one table. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press a button or use a formula.

Requirements

  • A Coda account with a doc you can edit
  • An Asyntai account on a paid plan, because the Pack uses the Asyntai API
  • Your Asyntai API key, which the account owner creates in the dashboard

Installation

Follow these steps to connect Coda to Asyntai:

Copy Your API Key

Open the API page in your Asyntai dashboard and copy your key. Only the account owner can see it.

Install the Pack

In your Coda doc, open the Insert panel, choose Packs, search for Asyntai and add it.

Connect Your Account

Coda asks for your API key. Paste it once. Coda keeps it, and the Pack never shows it again.

Send Your First Page

Add a button to your doc and set its action to SendToKnowledgeBase, with a title and the text you want to send. Press it once and the text is in your knowledge base.

Tip: Add your documents, questions and answers, and your instructions in the Asyntai Dashboard before you publish, so the assistant answers properly from the first visitor.

What You Get

  • SendToKnowledgeBase sends a title and text from your doc to your knowledge base. It works on a button, so a whole table can be sent row by row.
  • Ask sends a question to your assistant and returns the answer as text, so you can check what a visitor would be told.
  • The KnowledgeBase table lists everything your assistant already knows, so you can see it inside Coda.

Keeping It Up to Date

Coda does not send changes on its own. When your team edits an answer, press the button again to send the new text. The old entry stays, so delete it in your Asyntai dashboard if you no longer want it.

Removing It

Remove the Pack from your Coda doc, or disconnect your account in the Pack settings. Content you already sent stays in your knowledge base until you delete it in Asyntai.

Privacy

The Pack reads nothing on its own. It sends only the text you pass to a formula, and only when you run that formula. Asyntai never receives your whole doc. Privacy policy.

Plans & Pricing

The Pack is free. It uses the Asyntai API, which needs a paid plan, so the Free plan cannot use this integration. Each plan includes a monthly number of messages, shared across your website widget and all your integrations. View pricing.
