Dynamic Product Cards

Let your AI render products as rich cards from any knowledge source

Overview

Dynamic Product Cards turn any product reference in the chatbot's context into a rich visual card — with an image, price, description and action button. The AI decides when to show a card based on the visitor's question; you just turn the feature on.

This works across everything the chatbot knows about: your crawled website pages, uploaded knowledge base documents, real-time product feeds, and connected integrations such as Shopify. No manual product entry is required.

How It Works

  1. You enable it once on the Dynamic Product Cards settings page
  2. The AI reads its context — including anything you've added to the knowledge base, real-time feeds, or connected integrations
  3. A visitor asks about a product and the AI finds relevant matches
  4. The chatbot renders a card with the product image, price, description, and a buy/view button

What Sources Can Power a Card

  • Real-Time Data Feed / Real-Time Data Feed Max — live product info pulled from your own database or API
  • Shopify integration — products synced from a connected Shopify store
  • Website crawl — product pages found during the initial crawl of your website
  • Uploaded documents — PDFs, spreadsheets, or text files added to your knowledge base
  • Manually added products — entries you created in Add Products

Best Paired With Real-Time Data

The cards look their best when the underlying data is structured and fresh. A Real-Time Data Feed pulls live information (prices, stock, images, availability) from your database on every message, so cards never go stale and always include all the expected fields.

Without a feed, cards still work — but they'll only include fields that happen to be present in the source (for example, a crawled page might have a name and description but no image or stock level), and the info reflects whatever was last indexed rather than the current moment.

Tip: If you have frequently-changing inventory or prices, set up a Real-Time Data Feed before enabling Dynamic Product Cards. You get the richest, most accurate results.

No Invented Data

The AI is instructed to use only values that literally appear in its context. It will never invent a price, image URL, or link. If a field is missing from the source, the card simply omits that field — so cards from sparse sources may show up without an image or without a price, rather than showing guessed values.

Enabling Dynamic Product Cards

  1. Open the Dynamic Product Cards settings page
  2. Select the website you want to configure
  3. Flip the toggle on

You can also enable or disable the feature directly from the Add Products page — a master toggle appears at the top of that page for quick access.

Note: Changes take effect immediately on the next chat message. There's nothing to republish or redeploy.

Relationship to Other Features

Dynamic Product Cards sits alongside the other knowledge and display features:

  • Product Cards (manual) — curated, hand-picked product cards you create in Add Products. Best for a small catalog of flagship items.
  • Real-Time Data Feed and Real-Time Data Feed Max — live product catalogs pulled from a URL. These already have their own built-in card display option, which continues to work on its own.
  • Dynamic Product Cards (this feature) — extends card rendering to every source the AI has, including feeds, integrations, knowledge base documents, and crawled pages. Independent of the per-feed toggles.

Tip: You can have multiple card sources active at the same time. The AI picks the most relevant match for the visitor's question and renders it as a card.
