Learn how to use Asyntai

WHMCS Integration

An AI assistant on your client area that answers your hosting customers

Download Module

Overview

The Asyntai module puts an AI chat assistant on your WHMCS client area, your order forms and your ticket pages. It answers the questions your customers ask every day: how to point a domain, where to find an invoice, how to reset a control panel password. It answers day and night, in over 30 languages.

AI disclaimer: Answers are generated by AI. They may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete and should be verified before you rely on them, especially for important decisions.

It Reads Your Own Knowledge Base

WHMCS already holds the answers, in the knowledge base articles you wrote. The module can send those articles to Asyntai, so the assistant replies with your wording instead of a general answer. Send them again after you edit an article, and the old version is replaced, not copied.

Only published articles are sent. Private knowledge base articles and unpublished announcements stay inside WHMCS.

Requirements

  • WHMCS 8.0 or newer, self hosted
  • PHP 7.2 or newer, with the cURL extension
  • Your server must be able to reach https://asyntai.com over HTTPS
  • An Asyntai account. Creating one is free, and the Free plan works.

Installation

1

Upload the Module

Download the module and unpack it. Upload the asyntai folder into your WHMCS installation, so that it becomes:

/modules/addons/asyntai/
2

Activate It

In WHMCS, open System Settings, then Addon Modules. Find Asyntai AI Chatbot and click Activate. Then click Configure, tick the administrator roles that may use it, and save.

3

Connect Your Asyntai Account

Open Addons, then Asyntai AI Chatbot, and click Connect Asyntai. Sign in, or create a free account in a few seconds, and choose which website the assistant should answer from. Then go back to WHMCS and click Refresh.

4

Send Your Articles

On the same page, click Send articles to Asyntai now. Your published knowledge base articles go into the assistant's knowledge. Run it again whenever you add or change an article.

Tip: Add your website address in your Asyntai Dashboard as well. The assistant then answers from your public pages and your knowledge base articles together.

Settings

  • Show on client area. Shows the widget on the client area, the order forms and the ticket pages.
  • Show to signed out visitors. Also shows it before a customer signs in, for example on the order form.
  • Send knowledge base articles. Allows the module to send your published articles.
  • Send announcements. Also sends your published announcements.

Where the Widget Appears

On every client area page, because the module uses the standard WHMCS client area footer. That covers the home page, the order forms, the service list, the invoices and the ticket pages. It never appears in your administrator area.

Example Use Cases

  • Fewer repeated tickets: the assistant answers the domain and password questions before a ticket is opened
  • Answers at night: customers in other time zones get help when nobody is on shift
  • Order questions: a visitor on the order form asks what a plan includes and buys instead of leaving
  • Customers in several countries: everyone asks in their own language and is answered in it

Speed

The widget script loads only after the page has finished loading, so it cannot slow your client area down. The module also remembers its settings for a minute, so a page view does not wait for a call to Asyntai.

Privacy

The module sends your published knowledge base articles and, if you turn it on, your published announcements. It never sends customer names, invoices, tickets, passwords or any other data from your WHMCS database.

Questions your customers ask the widget are stored in your Asyntai account so you can read them in your dashboard, and they count towards your monthly message allowance. Privacy policy.

Plans & Pricing

The module works on every Asyntai plan, including the Free plan. Each plan includes a monthly number of messages, shared across your website widget and all your integrations. Paid plans raise that number. View pricing.

Removing It

Deactivate the module in System Settings, Addon Modules. The widget disappears at once, and your connection is kept, so activating it again needs no further setup. To break the link completely, open your Asyntai dashboard and disconnect WHMCS there.
