Overview
Lead collection allows you to capture email addresses and phone numbers from visitors who interact with your chat widget. When enabled, visitors are prompted to share their contact information before or during the conversation.
All collected leads are stored in one central location where you can view, copy, and export them for your marketing and sales efforts.
How It Works
- Enable collection - Turn on email and/or phone collection in widget settings
- Visitor provides info - A prompt appears asking for their contact details
- Lead is saved - Contact info is stored with the conversation
- View in Leads page - Access all leads in one place with export options

Collection Options
You can enable one or both collection methods depending on your needs:
Collect Emails
An optional email input field appears above the chat input. Great for newsletters, follow-ups, and marketing campaigns.
Collect Phone Numbers
An optional phone input with country code selector appears above the chat input. Ideal for sales calls and SMS marketing.
How it works: Both fields are optional - visitors can dismiss them with the X button. If both options are enabled, the fields appear stacked above each other. Contact info is saved when the visitor sends their first message.
Enable Lead Collection
Set up lead collection in your widget customization settings:

Open your website's widget customization page

Find Collection Options
Look for "Collect Emails" and "Collect Phone" toggles

Viewing Your Leads
All collected leads appear on the Leads page, accessible from your dashboard:
- Date - When the lead was captured (shown as relative time)
- Email - The visitor's email address with copy button
- Phone - The visitor's phone number with copy button
- Page - Which page the visitor was on when they provided their info
- View Chat - Link to see the full conversation
Exporting Leads
Export all your leads to a CSV file for use in other tools:
- Click the "Export CSV" button on the Leads page
- A file named
leads.csv will download automatically
- The CSV includes: Date, Email, Phone, and Page URL columns
- Import into spreadsheets, CRM systems, or email marketing tools
Email Alerts for New Leads
Get an email notification every time a new lead is captured, so you can follow up quickly.

Go to the Leads page
Click the "Email Alert" button in the header

Enter your email
Type the email address where you want to receive lead notifications

Save
You will now receive an email each time a visitor provides their email or phone number
How it works: An email is sent once per conversation — if a visitor provides both their email and phone number in the same chat, you will only receive one notification. To disable email alerts, clear the email field and click Save.
Set Up Email Alert
Notifications
In addition to email alerts, new leads also appear as a notification in the bell icon at the top of the page. The notification clears automatically when you visit the Leads page.
Note: If you have localization enabled, the collection prompts will be automatically translated to your visitor's language.
