Overview

The Asyntai Power-Up adds a button to your Trello board and a section to the back of every card. It does two jobs. It answers questions from your own content, and it sends a list to your Asyntai knowledge base so the chat widget on your website can answer from those cards.

AI disclaimer: Answers in the panel are generated by AI. They may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete and should be verified before you rely on them, especially for important decisions.

How It Works

A Power-Up runs in your browser, not on a server. Trello loads our page in a frame inside your board. The panel sends your question straight to the Asyntai API and shows the answer. When you send a list, the Power-Up reads the cards of that list, turns each card into text, and adds that text to your knowledge base as one item.

Requirements

  • An Asyntai account on a paid plan, because the Power-Up uses the Asyntai API
  • A Trello account, on any plan. Every plan allows Power-Ups.
  • The right to add a Power-Up to the board

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to your board:

1

Copy Your API Key

Open the API Settings page in your Asyntai dashboard and copy your API key.

2

Add the Power-Up

Open your board, click Power-Ups in the board menu, then search for Asyntai and add it. An Asyntai button appears in the board menu.

3

Paste the API Key

Click the Asyntai button. The panel opens on its settings screen the first time. Paste your API key and click Save. Leave Website ID empty to use your primary website in Asyntai.

4

Ask a Question

Type a question in the box and press Enter. The answer comes from your own content, and follow-up questions keep their context.

Asking About One Card

Open any card and look for the Asyntai section on the back of it. Ask a question there and the card travels with it, so the answer is about that card and not about a card with a similar name. The card name, the description and the labels are sent.

Sending a List to Your Knowledge Base

In the Asyntai panel, choose a list and click Send to knowledge base. Every card becomes a block of text, with the card name in front of the description, so a price stays connected to the product it belongs to.

  • Cards with no name and no description are skipped
  • Up to 500 cards go in one upload
  • The item is named after the board and the list, so a later upload of the same list is easy to find
  • Send it again whenever the list changes. The Power-Up does not watch the board for you, because it only runs while the panel is open.

Tip: Keep one list for the cards you want the chatbot to know about. A list with your finished answers gives better replies than a list that still holds drafts and old cards.

Settings

  • Asyntai API key. Required. Nothing is sent to Asyntai until it is filled in.
  • Website ID. Optional. Leave it empty to use your primary website. Set a numeric ID to use a different one.

Who Can See the API Key

Trello keeps the key for your Trello account only. Other members of the board cannot read it, and each member adds their own key. If you leave the board, your key goes with you.

Example Use Cases

  • Support board: keep your standard answers as cards and upload the list whenever it changes
  • Product board: send the list of products you sell, so the chat widget answers about them
  • Working on a card: ask what your own rules say about the task in front of you
  • Teams in several countries: ask in your own language and get the answer in it

Privacy

Asyntai receives the text of your question, the card you are looking at when you ask on a card, and the cards of the list you choose to send. Nothing else on the board is read, and no list is read until you press the button. The Power-Up does not send your Trello account, your board members or your attachments.

Questions, answers and uploaded cards are stored in your Asyntai account, so you can read them in your dashboard. Remove an uploaded item there at any time. Privacy policy.

Plans & Pricing

The Power-Up needs a paid Asyntai plan, because API access is not part of the Free plan. Each plan includes a monthly message allowance, shared across your website widget and all your integrations. View pricing.

Removing the Power-Up

Open Power-Ups in the board menu and remove Asyntai. Your key goes with it. Content you already sent stays in your knowledge base until you remove it in your Asyntai dashboard.
