Workato Integration

Overview

Workato joins the systems a company already runs. A recipe starts with a trigger and carries the work through a line of actions.

The Asyntai connector puts your website agent on both sides of that recipe. A visitor who leaves an email address starts a recipe the same second. Any step in a recipe can also ask your website a question and use the answer, or teach the agent something new.

Triggers

• New lead — a visitor leaves an email address or a phone number in the chat. Asyntai calls Workato, so the recipe starts at once.
• New chat — a visitor has a conversation with your agent. Workato checks on its own schedule.

Each event brings the session id, the page the visitor was on, the country and the website domain, ready to map into the next step.

Actions

• Ask the website — send a question, get the answer your visitors get. The agent answers from your website content, your product feed and your knowledge base.
• Get a conversation — read every message of one chat. It also returns the whole chat as one block of text, ready for an email or a ticket.
• Search leads — find the contact details visitors left, by address or by date.
• Add text to the knowledge base — teach the agent a fact, from a spreadsheet row or a form answer.
• Add a page to the knowledge base — hand the agent a URL and it reads the page.
• List websites — get the agents on the account.

Requirements

• A Workato workspace
• An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the connector uses the Asyntai API
• Permission to install a connector in your Workato workspace

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Workato:

An Example Recipe

A common one, built in four steps:

• Trigger: New lead in Asyntai.
• Action: create the contact in your CRM.
• Action: Get a conversation, using the session id the trigger gave you.
• Action: post that conversation to your team channel.

Your sales team then reads what the visitor already asked before anyone replies.

Answering Inside a Recipe

The Ask the website action works on its own, with no chat in front of it. A recipe that reads a support mailbox can send the question to Asyntai and put the answer straight into the draft reply.

Pass the same Session ID on every call to keep one conversation going across several steps. Leave it empty for a single question.

Choosing a Website

An Asyntai account can run an agent per website. Every trigger and most actions have a Website dropdown, filled with your domains. Leave it empty to use your primary website.

Agencies run this across a client book: one Asyntai account, one agent per client site, and one recipe per client.

Removing It

Stop the recipe, or delete the connection. Workato removes the Asyntai webhook when a recipe stops, so nothing is left behind.
