Frappe and ERPNext Integration
Answer your visitors on your Frappe website and turn every chat into a lead
Overview
Frappe is an open source framework, and ERPNext is the business system built on it. Both come with a website and a blog. The Asyntai app puts an AI chat agent on that website and connects it to the rest of your data.
The app does three things:
- Answers your visitors. The chat widget appears on every page of your Frappe website. It replies in seconds, day and night, in the language the visitor writes in.
- Learns your pages. Every published Web Page and Blog Post goes into the Asyntai knowledge base, so the chatbot answers from your own words and links back to the page.
- Creates the lead. When a visitor leaves an email address or a phone number in the chat, the app makes the Lead in ERPNext, or the Contact on a plain Frappe site.
How It Works
Asyntai holds the knowledge base and the chat agent. The app connects your Frappe site to it with your API key.
When you publish or edit a Web Page or a Blog Post, the app sends the text to Asyntai in the background. The chatbot then quotes that page to the next visitor who asks about it, with a link to the page.
When a chat produces an email address or a phone number, Asyntai calls your site. The app writes the Lead or the Contact and puts the page, the country and the chat session on the record as a comment, so your team opens it and already knows the story.
Requirements
- Frappe v15, with or without ERPNext
- An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the app uses the Asyntai API
- A System Manager role in your Frappe site
Installation
Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Frappe:
Install the App
On Frappe Cloud, open the Marketplace, find Asyntai AI Chatbot, and press Install. On your own server, run these two commands in your bench folder:

Sign in to Asyntai, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.
Open Asyntai Settings
In Frappe, search for Asyntai Settings in the awesome bar, or open the Asyntai workspace. Paste the API key and press Test Connection. Asyntai answers with the websites on your account.
Turn On the Chat Widget
Tick Show Chat Widget and paste your Widget ID. You find it in Asyntai on the install page; it looks like asyntai_ab12cd34ef56. Save, then open any page of your website to see the chat bubble.
Send Your Pages
Tick Sync Content To Asyntai, choose Web Pages, Blog Posts, or both, and save. Then press Send All Pages Now. From that moment every save of a published page keeps Asyntai up to date on its own.
Start Lead Capture
Choose Lead or Contact under Create, then press Start Lead Capture. Pick Lead when you run ERPNext, and Contact on a plain Frappe site.
Tip: Your Frappe site must answer on a public address for lead capture, because Asyntai calls it from the internet. A site on Frappe Cloud already does.
Watching the Sync
Open Asyntai Synced Page to see every page that is in the Asyntai knowledge base, with the time it went there. The Pages In Asyntai counter in the settings shows the same number.
Unpublish a page and the app takes it back out. Publish it again and it returns.
Removing It
Press Stop Lead Capture first, then run bench --site your-site.com uninstall-app asyntai. On Frappe Cloud, press Uninstall in the Marketplace instead. The app removes its webhook from your Asyntai account on the way out.
Privacy
The app uses your Asyntai API key to send your published page text and to receive the contact details a visitor leaves in the chat. Privacy policy.
