Aperçu
The Asyntai extension for MediaWiki does two things. It puts the chat assistant on every page of your wiki, and it sends your wiki pages to Asyntai so the assistant answers from them. Your readers ask a question in plain words and get the answer with a link to the page, instead of searching through hundreds of articles.
Comment ça marche
Every time someone saves a page, the extension sends the new text to your Asyntai knowledge base in the background. A page that changes is sent again, and a page that is deleted is removed from Asyntai. One button sends the whole wiki at the start. This works for public wikis and for internal wikis behind a login alike, because the wiki pushes the pages out from inside.
Prérequis
- MediaWiki 1.39 or later

Installation
Suivez ces étapes pour ajouter Asyntai à votre wiki :
Installer l'extension
Download the extension and unpack it into the extensions folder of your wiki, so that you have extensions/AsyntaiChatbot. Then add this line to LocalSettings.php and run maintenance/update.php once:

Copier votre identifiant de widget
Ouvrez la page Installation dans votre tableau de bord Asyntai. Votre identifiant de widget est la valeur de data-asyntai-id dans le code affiché.

Collez-la dans le wiki
Open Special:AsyntaiChatbot on your wiki as an administrator. Paste your widget ID and press Save settings. The chat assistant appears on every page at once.
Ajoutez votre clé API
On the same page, paste an Asyntai API key, tick Send wiki pages to Asyntai, and save. Skip this step if you only want the chat widget.
Send the Whole Wiki
Press Send all pages now. The pages go out in the background as your visitors open pages, or at once when you run maintenance/runJobs.php. From then on, every saved page is sent on its own.
Astuce : Ajoutez vos documents, vos questions et réponses et vos instructions dans le tableau de bord Asyntai avant de publier, afin que l'assistant réponde correctement dès le premier visiteur.
Ce que la synchronisation envoie
- The title and the text of each page, as plain text, with a link back to the wiki, so the assistant can point readers to the page
- Pages in the namespaces you choose. The main namespace is on from the start, and you can add Help or Project pages with their namespace numbers.
- Redirects are skipped, and a page shorter than 120 characters is a stub, so it is skipped too
- A page is sent again only when it changed since the last time
Sync Status
The settings page shows how many pages are in your knowledge base, how many wait in the job queue, when the last page was sent, and the last problem if there was one. If Asyntai answers that your daily upload limit is reached, the sync waits and continues the next day.
Le retirer
Remove the wfLoadExtension line from LocalSettings.php. The chat assistant and the sync stop at once. Pages already sent stay in your Asyntai knowledge base until you delete them there.
Confidentialité
Your API key is stored in the wiki database and is shown to nobody after you save it. Only administrators can open the settings page. Politique de confidentialité.
Formules et tarifs
L'extension est gratuite. Le widget de chat fonctionne avec tous les plans Asyntai, y compris le plan Free. La synchronisation de la base de connaissances nécessite un plan payant, car elle utilise l'API Asyntai. Voir les tarifs.
