Google Sheets Integration
Your chatbot answers from a sheet, and your leads land in one
Overview
Prices, opening hours per branch, stock, course dates, delivery fees, a FAQ: the answers visitors ask for often live in a Google Sheet. This integration keeps that sheet in your knowledge base. Every row becomes one answer, and the sheet is re-read on a schedule, so an edited cell reaches your visitors without an upload.
It also works the other way. The Asyntai for Google Sheets add-on imports your leads and conversations into a sheet, with the full text of every chat.
How It Works
The first row of the tab holds the column names, for example Product, Price, In stock. Each row below it becomes one entry in the knowledge base, with the column names as labels. When a visitor asks "Do you have the blue one in medium?", the chatbot finds that row and answers from it.
Asyntai reads the tab again on a schedule and replaces the old rows. Change a price in the sheet, and the chatbot gives the new price.
Requirements
- A Google account that can open the sheet
- An Asyntai account. The add-on needs the Starter plan or higher, because it uses the Asyntai API
Keep a Sheet in Your Knowledge Base
Follow these steps in your Asyntai dashboard:
Connect Google
Open Google Sheets in your dashboard, or choose Google Sheets in the Add knowledge menu. Press Connect Google and accept the spreadsheet permission. Asyntai asks for read access to spreadsheets only.
Paste the Sheet Link
Copy the link of the sheet from your browser, paste it into the box, and press Find tabs.
Pick the Tab
Choose the tab and, if you have several websites, the website. Press Add sheet. The rows go into the knowledge base at once, and you see the row count.
Edit the Sheet as Usual
The tab is re-read on a schedule. Press Sync now when you want the change in the chatbot right away.
The Add-on Inside Google Sheets
Install Asyntai for Google Sheets from the Google Workspace Marketplace. Open a sheet, open the add-on from the side panel, and paste your Asyntai API key once. You get three buttons:
- Send to chatbot: the open tab goes into your knowledge base. Press it again after an edit to replace the rows.
- Import leads: email, phone, page, date and the whole chat of every lead, one lead per row, into the sheet "Asyntai leads".
- Import conversations: the latest 100 chats with page, country, topic and the full transcript, into the sheet "Asyntai conversations".
Your API key is in Settings, then API, in your Asyntai dashboard.
Tip: Keep one thing per row and one fact per column. A row like Service: Haircut, Price: 25 EUR, Duration: 30 min gives the chatbot a clean answer for "How much is a haircut?".

Removing a Sheet
Open Google Sheets in your dashboard and press Remove next to the sheet. Its rows leave the knowledge base at once. Disconnect removes Google access; rows already in the knowledge base stay until you remove them.
Plans & Pricing
The dashboard sync is part of every plan, within the knowledge base limits of the plan. The add-on uses the Asyntai API, which needs the Starter plan or higher. View pricing.
