How to Add Asyntai AI Chatbot to Docebo

First, go to your Asyntai Dashboard and scroll down to the "Embed Code" section. Copy your unique embed code which will look like this:

Important — how Docebo handles scripts: Docebo is a closed, security-hardened LMS. It does not provide a header/footer field or an HTML widget where you can paste raw JavaScript, and it strips <script> tags out of HTML content areas when a page is published. There is no simple "custom JS" box in Docebo. Because of this, the Asyntai embed code cannot be pasted directly into a normal Docebo page. The supported way to load a third-party widget across your portal is through Google Tag Manager (GTM) at the portal level, described below.

Step 2: Create a Google Tag Manager Container

Google Tag Manager acts as the delivery layer that loads your Asyntai widget on every page of your Docebo portal. If you don't already have a container, set one up:

Go to tagmanager.google.com and sign in with a Google account
Create a new Account, then create a Web container for your Docebo domain
Copy your container ID — it looks like GTM-XXXXXXX

Step 3: Add Asyntai as a Custom HTML Tag in GTM

Inside your GTM container, create a tag that injects the Asyntai widget on every page:

In Google Tag Manager, click Tags → New
Choose Tag Configuration → Custom HTML
Paste your Asyntai embed code into the HTML field:

Under Triggering, select All Pages so the widget loads across your entire portal
Click Save, then Submit and Publish the container

Lưu ý: The Custom HTML tag type is what allows GTM to load an external script like Asyntai. This keeps your widget ID and code in GTM rather than inside Docebo itself.

Step 4: Connect the GTM Container to Your Docebo Portal

The GTM container only runs once its snippet is present on your Docebo portal. Docebo does not expose a generic header/body code field, so use one of these portal-level routes:

Via the Google Tag app: In Docebo, go to the App & Features marketplace and check whether a Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics app is available for your plan that accepts a GTM-XXXXXXX container ID. If so, enter your container ID there.
Via your Docebo account manager or support: Because raw script injection is restricted, portal-level installation of the GTM snippet is typically arranged through Docebo Support or your Customer Success Manager, who can enable the container for your portal.

Docebo restricts raw custom JavaScript: Docebo does not officially support arbitrary JavaScript injection, and some Docebo configurations block GTM Custom HTML tags by default because they can inject inline scripts. If your GTM Custom HTML tag does not fire, contact Docebo Support to confirm that Custom HTML tags are permitted for your portal and that your GTM container is properly connected. This is a portal-level setting only Docebo can enable — it is not something you can force from the page editor.

Mẹo: GTM lets you update, pause, or remove the Asyntai widget without touching Docebo again — once the container is connected to your portal, you manage everything from Google Tag Manager.

Step 5: Verify Installation

After publishing your GTM container, open your Docebo portal in a new browser tab or incognito window. You should see the chat widget button in the bottom right corner. Click it to ensure it opens and functions correctly.

Không thấy tiện ích? Confirm your GTM container is published and that its snippet is actually loading on your Docebo portal (use GTM Preview mode). Clear your browser cache or view in incognito mode. If the Custom HTML tag is blocked, ask Docebo Support to allow it for your portal. Check the browser console (F12) for any JavaScript errors.
