Browser Notifications
Get a notification in your browser when something important happens in your chats
Overview
Browser Notifications show a notification on your computer or phone when a visitor starts a conversation, leaves contact details, asks for a person or creates a ticket. You see it even when the Asyntai dashboard is not open, so you can reply while the visitor is still on your website.
Click a notification to open the conversation in your dashboard.
What you can be notified about
New conversation
When a visitor sends the first message.
New lead
When a visitor leaves an email address or a phone number.
Visitor asks for a person
When a visitor asks to talk to someone from your team. Escalate to Human must be on.
New ticket
When a visitor creates a support ticket.
How to turn them on
- Open Browser Notifications in your dashboard.
- Turn on This browser.
- Your browser asks if Asyntai can show notifications. Click Allow.
- Choose the events you want. All events are on at the start.
- Click Send a test notification to see how it looks.
Do these steps in each browser where you want notifications, for example on your work computer and on your Android phone. The page shows a list of your browsers, and you can remove one at any time.
Team members
Each team member turns on notifications in their own browser and chooses their own events. A team member gets notifications only for the websites they have access to.
If you have more than one website, you can choose the websites you get notifications for.
Supported browsers
Browser Notifications work in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on a computer, and in Chrome on Android phones.
Tip: Browser Notifications and email notifications work separately. You can use one of them, or both.
Troubleshooting
- The switch does not turn on. Notifications are blocked for asyntai.com in your browser. Allow them in the site settings of your browser, then try again.
- The test notification does not show. Check that notifications for your browser are on in the settings of your computer, and that Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is off.
- Notifications stopped. If you clear the data of your browser, turn on This browser again.
