Mautic Integration

An AI chatbot on your Mautic landing pages, and every chat lead as a Mautic contact

Create Account

Overview

Mautic is an open-source marketing automation platform. The Asyntai plugin puts an AI chatbot on your Mautic landing pages. It answers your visitors around the clock, in their language, from the content of your website.

When a visitor leaves an email address or a phone number in the chat, the plugin turns it into a Mautic contact. The contact gets a tag, so you can put it in a segment and start a campaign, and a note with a link to the whole chat.

How It Works

  • The chatbot on your landing pages. Connect Mautic to your Asyntai account in one step. The chat shows on every landing page, or only on the pages where you put the {asyntaichat} token.
  • Chat leads as contacts. Every email address and phone number from the chat becomes a Mautic contact. If a contact already has that address, the plugin updates it and keeps its other fields.
  • Tag and note. Each contact gets your tag (asyntai-chat unless you change it) and a note with the page of the chat and a Read the chat link.
  • Campaigns. Build a segment on the tag, and every new chat lead enters your campaign.

Requirements

  • Mautic 6 or 7
  • An Asyntai account. The contact import uses an Asyntai API key, which comes with the Starter plan or higher
  • For the contact import: the Mautic cron jobs

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Mautic:

1

Install the Plugin

In Mautic open Settings → Marketplace, find Asyntai AI Chatbot and press Install.

With Composer instead, run composer require asyntai/mautic-ai-chatbot in your Mautic folder, then php bin/console cache:clear and php bin/console mautic:plugins:reload.

2

Connect Your Asyntai Account

Open Settings → Asyntai AI Chatbot and press Get started. A window opens where you sign in to Asyntai, or create a free account, and enter your website address. The chatbot learns from your website. When the window closes, the chat is live on your landing pages.

3

Choose Where the Chat Shows

Under Where the chat shows, choose On every landing page, Only on landing pages that contain the {asyntaichat} token, or Nowhere. Press Save. You find the token in the landing page builder under Asyntai AI Chatbot, or you can type it into any text block.

4

Import Chat Leads as Contacts

Make an API key in the Asyntai panel under Settings → API. In Mautic, under Chat leads as Mautic contacts, tick Import chat leads as contacts, paste the key, set the tag and press Save. Press Import now for the first import.

5

Add the Cron Job

Add the import to your Mautic cron jobs, for example every 15 minutes:

*/15 * * * * php /path/to/mautic/bin/console mautic:asyntai:import-leads

Tip: Make a segment with the filter Tags including asyntai-chat, and use it as the source of a campaign. Every visitor who leaves an address in the chat then gets your follow-up emails.

Turning It Off

The chat and the import: on Settings → Asyntai AI Chatbot, clear Switched on and press Save. The Published switch of the plugin on the Plugins page does the same.

The connection: press Reset connection on the same page. The chat disappears from every landing page at once.

The plugin: remove the plugins/AsyntaiBundle folder, or run composer remove asyntai/mautic-ai-chatbot, and clear the cache. Contacts that the plugin made stay in Mautic.

Plans & Pricing

The plugin is free and open source. The contact import needs the Starter plan or higher. View pricing.
