Wox Plugin

Your website chats, leads and tickets, and your own AI chatbot, in the Wox search box on Windows, macOS and Linux

Overview

Wox is a free, open source launcher for Windows, macOS and Linux. You press one shortcut, a search box opens, and you type. The Asyntai AI Chatbot plugin adds your website chats to that box. Read the newest conversations, the leads your agent collected and your support tickets without opening the browser, and ask your own agent a question to see the answer your visitors get.

Commands

Type asy and a space in Wox, then one of these:

  • asy chats: the newest chats on your website, with the time, the number of messages, the domain and the country. Press Enter and read the whole chat. The full conversation shows in the preview pane on the right.
  • asy leads: every visitor who left an email address or a phone number, with the page they were on. Press Enter to read their chat.
  • asy tickets: your support tickets, with the number, the status and the visitor.
  • asy ask and your question: press Enter and read the answer your agent gives, with its links. Ask a follow-up and it keeps the conversation.

Add a word after chats, leads or tickets to filter the list, for example asy leads gmail. Open the action panel of an item (Ctrl+J on Windows) for more actions: open the chat in your Asyntai dashboard, open the page the visitor was on, or copy the email, phone or ticket number.

Requirements

  • Wox 2.4.2 or later on Windows, macOS or Linux
  • Python 3.10 or later on the same computer, because the plugin is written in Python
  • An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the plugin uses the Asyntai API

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Wox:

Install the Plugin

Open Wox and type wpm install Asyntai AI Chatbot, then press Enter.

Get Your API Key

Sign in to Asyntai, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.

Paste the Key

Type asy and a space. Wox shows a setup form for the plugin. Paste the key into Asyntai API key and press Save. You can change the key later in the Wox settings, under Plugins, Asyntai AI Chatbot.

Run a Command

Type asy and a space. Choose Recent chats, Leads, Tickets or Ask your chatbot, or type a command right away.

Tip: Any text after asy that is not a command is a question for your chatbot. Type asy do you ship to Austria, press Enter, and you see the same answer a visitor would get. The plugin asks only when you press Enter, never while you type.

Changing the Keyword

Prefer another word than asy? Open the Wox settings, choose Plugins, open Asyntai AI Chatbot and change its trigger keyword.

Removing It

Type wpm uninstall Asyntai AI Chatbot in Wox and press Enter.

Plans & Pricing

The plugin is free. It uses the Asyntai API, which needs the Starter plan or higher. View pricing.
