Ulauncher Extension

Your website chats, leads and tickets, and your own AI chatbot, in the Ulauncher search box on Linux

Overview

Ulauncher is a popular open source launcher for Linux. You press one shortcut, a search box opens, and you type. The Asyntai AI Chatbot extension adds your website chats to that box. Read the newest conversations, the leads your agent collected and your support tickets without opening the browser, and ask your own agent a question to see the answer your visitors get.

Commands

Type asy and a space in Ulauncher, then one of these:

  • asy chats: the newest chats on your website, with the time, the number of messages, the domain and the country. Press Enter and read the whole chat, message by message. Press Alt+Enter to open the chat in your Asyntai dashboard.
  • asy leads: every visitor who left an email address or a phone number, with the page they were on. Press Enter to read their chat, or Alt+Enter to copy the email or phone.
  • asy tickets: your support tickets, with the number, the status and the visitor.
  • asy ask and your question: press Enter and read the answer your agent gives. Ask a follow-up and it keeps the conversation.

Add a word after chats, leads or tickets to filter the list, for example asy leads gmail. On an answer, Enter copies the whole answer, and every link in it gets its own Open link row.

Requirements

  • Linux with Ulauncher 5
  • An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the extension uses the Asyntai API

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Ulauncher:

Add the Extension

Open Ulauncher Preferences, choose Extensions, then Add extension, and paste https://github.com/asyntai/ulauncher-asyntai-ai-chatbot. You can also find it on the Ulauncher extensions site by searching for Asyntai.

Get Your API Key

Sign in to Asyntai, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.

Paste the Key

In Ulauncher Preferences, open Asyntai AI Chatbot under Extensions, paste the key into the API key box and press Save.

Run a Command

Type asy and a space. Choose Recent chats, Leads, Tickets or Ask your chatbot, or type a command right away.

Tip: Any text after asy that is not a command is a question for your chatbot. Type asy do you ship to Austria, press Enter, and you see the same answer a visitor would get.

Changing the Keyword

Prefer another word than asy? Open Ulauncher Preferences, choose Extensions, open Asyntai AI Chatbot and change the keyword. The extension follows the new word everywhere.

Removing It

Open Ulauncher Preferences, choose Extensions, select Asyntai AI Chatbot and press Remove.

Plans & Pricing

The extension is free. It uses the Asyntai API, which needs the Starter plan or higher. View pricing.
