Sublime Text Package

Ask your AI chatbot, read your website chats, leads and tickets, and grow your knowledge base from Sublime Text

Overview

Sublime Text is a fast code and text editor for Windows, macOS and Linux. The Asyntai AI Chatbot package brings your website chatbot into the editor. Ask your agent a question and see the answer your visitors get, read the newest chats, leads and tickets, and send the help article or FAQ you are writing straight to your agent's knowledge base.

Commands

Open the Command Palette with Ctrl+Shift+P (Cmd+Shift+P on macOS) and type Asyntai:

  • Asyntai: Ask My Chatbot: type a question and read the answer in a new tab. Run it again in that tab to ask a follow-up in the same conversation.
  • Asyntai: Ask About Selection: select text and ask your agent about it. The question box starts with your selection, so you can edit it first.
  • Asyntai: Add to Knowledge Base: add the open file, or only the selected text, to your agent's knowledge base. The file name becomes the title. If an item with that title is already there, you choose to replace it or to add a new one.
  • Asyntai: Recent Chats: the newest chats on your website, with the domain, the country, the time and the number of messages. Pick one to read the whole chat in a tab.
  • Asyntai: Leads: every visitor who left an email address or a phone number. Pick one to read their chat.
  • Asyntai: Tickets: your support tickets, with the number, the subject and the status.
  • Asyntai: Open Dashboard: open your Asyntai dashboard in the browser.

Want a shortcut? Open Preferences, then Key Bindings, and bind a key to asyntai_ask or asyntai_add_to_knowledge_base.

Requirements

  • Sublime Text 4 on Windows, macOS or Linux
  • An Asyntai account on the Starter plan or higher, because the package uses the Asyntai API

Installation

Follow these steps to add Asyntai to Sublime Text:

Install the Package

Open the Command Palette, run Package Control: Install Package, type Asyntai AI Chatbot and press Enter. If you do not have Package Control yet, run Install Package Control first.

Get Your API Key

Sign in to Asyntai, open Settings, then API, and copy your API key.

Add the Key

Run Asyntai: Set API Key from the Command Palette and paste the key. The package checks the key with Asyntai and shows connected as and your email in the status bar.

Ask Your Chatbot

Run Asyntai: Ask My Chatbot, type a question a visitor would ask and press Enter. The answer opens in a new tab.

Tip: Writing a new help article? Add it with Asyntai: Add to Knowledge Base, then ask your agent a question about it. You see right away how your agent uses the new text.

Removing It

Run Asyntai: Sign Out to remove your API key, then Package Control: Remove Package and pick Asyntai AI Chatbot.

The package is free. It uses the Asyntai API, which needs the Starter plan or higher. View pricing.
