How to Add Asyntai AI Chatbot to Weebly

Step-by-step guide for Weebly websites

Step 1: Get Your Embed Code

First, go to your Asyntai Dashboard and scroll down to the "Embed Code" section. Copy your unique embed code which will look like this:

Note: The code above is just an example. You must copy your own unique embed code from your Dashboard as it contains your personal widget ID.

Step 2: Choose Installation Method

There are several ways to add the chat widget to your Weebly site. Choose the method that works best for you:

Method 1: Site-Wide Footer Code (Recommended)

This method adds the chatbot to every page of your Weebly site automatically.

  1. Log in to your Weebly account and open the site editor
  2. Click on Settings in the top menu
  3. Select SEO from the left sidebar
  4. Scroll down to find the Footer Code section
  5. Paste your Asyntai embed code into the Footer Code box
  6. Click Save
  7. Click Publish to make the changes live

Why Footer Code? Adding the script to the footer ensures it loads after your page content, which is optimal for performance and won't slow down your site.

Method 2: Single Page Installation

If you only want the chatbot on specific pages, use this method for each page:

  1. In the Weebly editor, click on Pages in the top menu
  2. Select the page where you want to add the chatbot
  3. Click on SEO Settings (or Advanced Settings) for that page
  4. Find the Footer Code section
  5. Paste your Asyntai embed code
  6. Click Save
  7. Repeat for any other pages where you want the chatbot
  8. Click Publish to make the changes live

Note: Page-level code only affects that specific page. If you want the chatbot on multiple pages, the site-wide method is more efficient.

Method 3: Using Embed Code Element

You can also use Weebly's Embed Code element, though the footer method is preferred for chat widgets:

  1. In the Weebly editor, go to the Build tab
  2. Find the Embed Code element under the Basic section
  3. Drag the Embed Code element to your page (preferably near the bottom)
  4. Click on the element and select Edit Custom HTML
  5. Paste your Asyntai embed code
  6. Click outside the element to save
  7. Click Publish to make the changes live

Important: The Embed Code element won't show a preview in the editor. You'll need to publish your site to see the chatbot working.

Step 3: Verify Installation

After publishing your site, visit your website in a new browser tab or incognito window. You should see the chat widget button in the bottom right corner. Click it to make sure it opens and works correctly.

Not seeing the widget? Weebly doesn't show previews for code added in header/footer sections. Make sure you've clicked "Publish" to make your changes live. Try clearing your browser cache or viewing in an incognito window.

Weebly Square Online Note

If you're using Square Online (Weebly's e-commerce platform), the steps are similar:

  1. Go to your Square Online dashboard
  2. Navigate to Website > Site Settings
  3. Look for Advanced Settings or Custom Code
  4. Add your Asyntai embed code to the footer section
  5. Save and publish your changes
