How to Add Asyntai AI Chatbot to GoDaddy
Step-by-step guide for GoDaddy Website Builder
Step 1: Get Your Embed Code
First, go to your Asyntai Dashboard and scroll down to the "Embed Code" section. Copy your unique embed code which will look like this:
<script async src="https://asyntai.com/static/js/chat-widget.js" data-asyntai-id="YOUR_WIDGET_ID"></script>
Note: The code above is just an example. You must copy your own unique embed code from your Dashboard as it contains your personal widget ID.
Step 2: Using Head HTML (Recommended)
GoDaddy Website Builder allows you to add custom scripts through the site settings:
- Log into your GoDaddy account and go to My Products
- Find your website and click "Manage", then "Edit Website"
- Open "Settings" (gear icon)
- Look for "Head HTML", "Header Code", or "Tracking & Analytics" (varies by editor version)
- Paste your Asyntai embed code
- Click "Save" and then "Publish"
Tip: Adding the code to the Footer section ensures it loads after the page content, which is recommended for chat widgets and won't slow down your page loading.
Alternative: Using HTML Section (Per Page)
If the Head HTML option is not available in your editor version, you can add the chatbot per page:
- In the GoDaddy editor, navigate to the page you want
- Click "Add Section" and search for "HTML"
- Paste the Asyntai embed code in the "Custom Code" field
- Repeat for each page where you want the chatbot
- Save and publish your site
Important: The HTML Section method embeds code in an iframe, which may limit functionality. The Head HTML method is strongly preferred. If your editor version doesn't show Head HTML, contact GoDaddy support to check if your plan supports it.
Step 3: Verify Installation
After publishing your changes, visit your GoDaddy site in a new browser tab or incognito window. You should see the chat widget button in the bottom right corner. Click it to make sure it opens and works correctly.
Not seeing the widget? Make sure you clicked "Save" and "Publish" after adding the code. Try clearing your browser cache or viewing in an incognito window. Changes may take a few minutes to propagate after publishing.
