Simple setup on React

A React single-page app loads from one HTML file. You add the script tag there once, build, and the chat shows on every route. Four steps, five minutes.

Sign up and copy your code

Create your Asyntai account, add your site's address and copy your code from the dashboard. The AI starts reading your pages right away.

Open index.html

With Vite, open index.html in the project root. With Create React App, open public/index.html.

Paste before </body>

Paste the script tag just before the closing </body> tag, after your app script.

Build, and you're live

Run npm run build and deploy as usual. The chat bubble appears in the corner of every route and already answers your users.

Put the tag in index.html, not in a component. A script tag inside JSX does not run, and a script that a component adds in useEffect can load twice. Next.js has its own setup: see the Next.js page.

Do I need an npm package or a React component?

No. One script tag in index.html loads the chat on every route. There is no package to install, no provider to wrap your app in and no dependency to update.

Do I need a backend or an API key in my code?

No. The chat runs on Asyntai servers. Your React app stays a static build, and the only value in your code is your public site ID.

Will it slow down my React app?

No. The script loads asynchronously, after your app starts. It is not part of your JavaScript bundle, so your bundle size and Core Web Vitals do not change.

How does the chatbot learn my content?

When you add your site's address, the AI reads your published pages: products, docs, blog posts and policies. You can upload documents and add your own instructions. After you publish new pages, run a new crawl from the dashboard.

Does it work with React Router?

Yes. The script loads once with the page, outside your React tree. When a user moves between routes, the page does not reload, so the chat stays open.

Will it conflict with my React components?

No. The chat loads outside your React tree and runs in an isolated space. It does not change your components, styles or routing.

Does it answer visitors who speak another language?

Yes. The chatbot detects the visitor's language and replies in it, even if your React site is only in English.
