Setup

Adding it to a Ycode website

Ycode has global custom code fields for the head and body of every page. Body code goes at the end of the body, which suits chat widgets.

Get your snippet

Create an Asyntai account, add your website address and copy the snippet.

Open General settings

In Ycode, click the gear icon in the left sidebar and open General settings.

Paste into Custom code

Scroll to Custom code and paste the snippet into the body field. Save the settings.

Publish and check

Scripts run on the published site and in preview, not on the canvas. Publish and open your live site.

For one page only, right-click the page under Pages, choose Page settings and use its Custom code tab instead.

FAQ

Ycode questions

Global code, page code, the canvas and costs.

Where do I add the snippet in Ycode?

Click the gear icon in the left sidebar, open General settings and scroll to Custom code. Paste the snippet into the body field, save and publish.

Why isn't the chat on my canvas?

Ycode runs script tags only on the published site and in preview mode. Open preview or your live site to see it.

Can I add it to a single page?

Yes. Right-click the page under Pages, choose Page settings, open the Custom code tab and paste it into the body field.

Head or body field?

Use the body field. Ycode places body code at the end of the page, which suits chat widgets and tracking scripts.

Does it read my CMS collections?

It reads your published pages, including pages generated from CMS collections, such as spaces or events.

Will it change my Ycode design?

No. The chat is a floating button in a corner. Your layouts, components and styles stay as they are.

Can I tell it what to say?

Yes. Add instructions, for example to always offer a tour, or to mention member-only perks.

Does it answer in other languages?

Yes. Visitors get an answer in the language they write in, from your English pages.

What does it cost to start?

Nothing: the Free plan covers one website and includes free messages. Paid plans raise the message limit.

Guide

An AI assistant for websites built with Ycode

Why Ycode users add an assistant

Ycode is a visual website builder with a built-in CMS, used by designers, agencies and businesses who want custom design without writing code.

The sites look great, but visitors still have practical questions. An assistant answers them right away from your content, so the design keeps working for you.

Answering practical questions

Spaces, studios and service businesses get the same questions every week: prices, hours, facilities and access.

The assistant answers from your pages and CMS content, and links to the right page when a visitor wants more detail.

From question to visit

Many visitors are close to a decision but want to see the place first. The assistant offers a tour at the right moment.

When they agree, it saves their details, so your team can confirm a time without long email threads.

Global or per-page setup

Ycode has custom code fields in General settings for every page, and in Page settings for single pages. Body code is placed at the end of the page.

Most sites use the global body field. Page settings help when you only want the chat on certain landing pages.

Learning from conversations

Every chat is saved, so you can see what people ask most and where your pages leave them unsure.

Use that to add a pricing table, a facilities section or a new CMS item that answers the question before it is asked.
