Setup with the Ruby gem

Asyntai has a free Bridgetown plugin on RubyGems. You add the gem, init it in your initializers, build, and the chat shows on every page. Four steps, five minutes.

Copy your widget ID

Sign in to Asyntai and open the Install page. Your widget ID is the data-asyntai-id value in the snippet. It starts with asyntai_.

Add the gem

In your project folder, run bundle add bridgetown-ai-chatbot.

Init the plugin

Open config/initializers.rb and add init :"bridgetown-ai-chatbot" with your widget ID, inside Bridgetown.configure.

Build, and you're live

Run bin/bridgetown deploy or bin/bridgetown build and publish. The chat bubble appears in the corner of every page.

You can also use the block form of init and set widget_id inside the block. Since Bridgetown 1.2, the gem does not need a special Gemfile group.
