How to install AI chatbot for Joomla (Asyntai)

Follow this guide to install and connect the Asyntai AI chatbot plugin on Joomla. Includes steps for Joomla 4/5/6 and Joomla 3.

Installation for Joomla 4, Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 Recommended

  1. Download the plugin using the button above.
  2. In your Joomla Admin, go to System → Install → Extensions.
  3. Upload the ZIP you downloaded and wait for the success message.
  4. Go to Manage → Plugins.
  5. Search for “Asyntai”.
  6. Enable the plugin.
  7. Click the plugin name to open details.
  8. Click “Get started” to connect your Asyntai account. A small window will guide you through the connect flow.
  9. Complete the connect flow. Your Site ID is saved automatically in the plugin settings.
  10. You’re all set. The chatbot script is now enabled on your site. To configure your chatbot, visit asyntai.com/dashboard.
Need to move the chatbot to a different site? Click “Reset” in the plugin screen to disconnect, then connect again.

Installation for Joomla 3

  1. Download the plugin using the button above.
  2. In your Joomla Admin, go to Extensions → Manage → Install.
  3. Upload the downloaded ZIP file.
  4. Wait for the installation to complete successfully.
  5. Go to Extensions → Plugins.
  6. Search for “Asyntai”.
  7. Enable the plugin.
  8. Click the plugin name to open details.
  9. Click “Get started” to connect your Asyntai account.
  10. Complete the connect flow; your Site ID is stored automatically.
  11. Done. The chatbot script will now load across your public pages.
Joomla 3 uses the same connect flow and injects the chat script using your saved Site ID.

Troubleshooting

  1. If the connect popup is blocked, use the fallback link shown in the plugin screen to open the connect window in a new tab.
  2. After connecting, clear any server-side or CDN caches to ensure the chat script loads.
  3. Make sure the plugin is enabled and the Site ID is present in the plugin parameters.
  4. Contact support at hello@asyntai.com if you still cannot see the widget on public pages.
