With GP Premium, a Hook Element adds code to any hook. Use wp_footer and the Entire Site rule to load the chat on every page.

Get your snippet

Create a Hook Element

In WordPress, go to Appearance > Elements, click Add New and choose Hook.

Paste and choose the hook

Paste the snippet, set the Hook to wp_footer, and under Display Rules set the location to Entire Site.

Publish and check

Click Publish, clear any cache and open your site in a private window to see the chat.

How do I add the code in GeneratePress?

Go to Appearance > Elements > Add New and choose Hook. Paste the snippet, set the hook to wp_footer, set Display Rules to Entire Site and publish.

I don't see Elements. Why?

Elements is part of GP Premium. Turn on the Elements module under Appearance > GeneratePress, and the menu appears.

I use the free GeneratePress theme.

The free theme has no Hook Elements. Add the snippet with a header and footer code plugin, such as WPCode, in the footer area.

Can I show it on some pages only?

Yes. In the Hook Element’s Display Rules, choose specific pages or post types instead of Entire Site.

Will it slow down my GeneratePress site?

The snippet loads asynchronously after your content, so your page speed and layout stay as they are.

Does it change my theme design?

No. The chat is a small floating button on top of your design. Your theme settings are not touched.
