AI Chatbot for Durable — because you are on a job, not at a desk
Durable builds a business website in about thirty seconds. What it cannot do is pick up when a customer visits that website at 8pm asking whether you cover their postcode. Asyntai adds a chatbot that does: it answers from your own pages, takes the caller's details, and has the whole enquiry waiting for you when you get back in the van.

Why a Durable site needs a chatbot when nobody can answer the phone
Durable is built for the one-person trade and service business: the mobile mechanic, the cleaner with two vans, the bookkeeper working out of a spare room, the dog groomer, the consultant between client calls. That is exactly the kind of owner who is never sitting next to a laptop. Hands are in an engine bay, on a ladder, or under a sink. The phone is on silent because you are in front of a paying customer.
The enquiry does not wait for you to be free. It goes to whoever answers first.
Most service enquiries are decided in the first hour. Someone with a leak, a blocked drain, or a tax deadline opens three websites, sends three messages, and books whichever business replies. If your Durable site can only offer a contact form, you are competing with a form that answers on Monday against a competitor who answers now.
A chatbot on the site closes that hour. It confirms whether you cover the caller's area, explains how your call-out charge works, says what your Tuesday looks like, and collects a phone number for anything it should not decide on its own. You still make the quote. You just stop losing the chance to make it.
How to add a chatbot to Durable in three steps
Be aware before you start: Custom Code is a paid feature on Durable. It sits on the Growth plan, so a free Durable site cannot accept third-party scripts of any kind — not this chatbot, not analytics, not a pixel. If you are still on the free tier you will need to upgrade Durable first. Asyntai's own free plan is separate and stays free.
Two other things worth knowing. Code added on the Integrations screen applies to every page of the site — Durable does not currently support putting a script on one page only. And the Body placement option works too, if you would rather load the widget at the end of the page; Head is the option we suggest, since the chatbot is then ready as soon as the visitor starts reading.
What your Durable chatbot handles between jobs
Do you cover my area?
It answers using your own content — the service list, area and hours already published on your Durable pages, plus anything you upload.
Quote requests, captured
When a job is real, the chatbot asks for a name, number and the details you need, and drops the whole conversation into your dashboard.
Evenings and weekends
Most trade enquiries land outside working hours. The chatbot is on at 6am and at 11pm, without you touching the phone.
Whatever language they type in
It replies in the visitor's own language across 30+ languages, which matters more than you think for local trade work.
You control the boundaries in plain writing. Tell it never to give a fixed price for anything it cannot see, always to ask for photos of the damage, or to push urgent callouts straight to your mobile number — and it follows those instructions in every conversation.
Durable chatbot questions, answered
How do I add a chatbot to my Durable website?
Copy your snippet from the Asyntai dashboard, then in Durable open Website → Website Settings → Integrations → Custom Code, paste it, set Placement to Head, save and publish.
Do I need a paid Durable plan?
For the snippet install, yes. Durable keeps Custom Code on its Growth plan, so a free Durable site cannot run third-party scripts. Asyntai's free plan is unaffected by that.
Will it appear on every page?
Yes. Durable applies Integrations code site-wide, and per-page custom code is not currently an option. For a service business that is usually the right behaviour anyway.
How does it learn my services and prices?
It reads your published Durable pages, and you can upload rate cards or terms as documents. Custom instructions cover anything that is not written down.
Can it take enquiries while I am on a call?
That is the main point of it. Name, number, job details and the full transcript are waiting in your dashboard when you next look at your phone.
