AI Chatbot for B12: every unanswered enquiry is billable work walking away
B12 sites belong to law firms, accountants, clinics, consultancies and agencies — practices where a single new client is worth months of retainer, and where the person who should reply is with another client. Asyntai adds a chatbot that answers the qualifying questions, screens the enquiry, and hands you the details of everyone who was ready to hire you at nine in the evening.

Why a B12 site needs a chatbot more than it needs another contact form
Professional services have a particular kind of website visitor. They are not browsing. They have a problem with a deadline attached — a letter from the tax office, a lease that expires next month, a symptom they looked up at midnight — and they are checking whether your practice is the right one to call. Before they will hand over their name, they want to know one thing: do you handle this?
A contact form asks for their details before it answers a single question. Half of them will not pay that price.
That is the leak. B12 gives a small firm a credible, well-structured site quickly, which solves the first problem: looking established. It does not solve the second one, which is that the enquiry arrives at 21:40 on a Sunday and the partner who could answer it is not reading email. By Monday the prospective client has already spoken to the firm across town.
A chatbot on the site is worth more here than almost anywhere else, because the arithmetic is different. A retail site loses a small order when a question goes unanswered. A practice loses a matter, an engagement, a course of treatment — and often the referrals that came with it. Recovering even one enquiry a month changes the economics of the whole website.
The chatbot does the part a person does not need to do: confirming practice areas, explaining how consultations and fees work, giving locations and availability, and telling a caller honestly when their matter is outside what your firm takes on. Then it collects the details and steps back. Every conversation is logged, so you can also see, in the client's own words, what people keep needing before they commit.
How to add a chatbot to B12 in three steps
While you are on that screen there is an optional field for choosing which pages the code should display on. Most practices leave it site-wide, so a visitor who lands on a single article from search still gets an answer. If you would rather keep the chatbot to the contact page only, restrict it there.
Single-page alternative: B12 can also embed code inside one page. Go to Website → Pages, pick the page, click Add section, choose Integration, then HTML, paste the code and click Add integration. Note that B12 lists sitewide integrations under its Basic subscription and above, so confirm your plan before you begin.
One thing that confuses people the first time: while you are still editing in B12 you may see a placeholder warning where the integration should be. It is an editor artefact. Publish the site and load it in a normal browser tab to see the real widget.
What the B12 chatbot does for a professional practice
Screens the matter first
It answers using your own content — practice areas, fee structure, locations, hours — so unsuitable enquiries stop before they reach your calendar.
Intake that runs at midnight
Name, contact details and a short summary of the matter, captured while the visitor is still motivated. The transcript waits in your dashboard.
You draw the line
Plain-language instructions tell the chatbot what to explain generally and what to escalate. It never has to improvise on advice.
Clients in 30+ languages
It detects the visitor's language and replies in it — useful for immigration, family and clinical practices with mixed catchments.
Everything the chatbot knows comes from material you control: the pages B12 published, documents you upload such as fee schedules or new-client packs, and the instructions you write. There is no generic advice layer underneath waiting to say something your practice would not.
B12 chatbot questions, answered
How do I add it to my B12 site?
Open Website → Settings, click Add new next to Sitewide integrations, choose Head tag, paste the snippet in the Code box, click Add integration, then Publish.
Can I limit it to certain pages?
Yes. The sitewide integration form lets you choose the pages to display it on, and B12 also supports adding an HTML Integration section to a single page.
Do I need a paid B12 plan?
B12 documents sitewide integrations from its Basic subscription upward, so check your plan first. The Asyntai free plan with 100 messages a month is separate.
Will it give advice to clients?
Only within limits you set. Custom instructions keep it to general information about your services and hand any case-specific question to a person.
Does it replace my intake form?
No, it sits in front of it. It answers the "do you handle this" question that stops people filling the form in, then collects their details.
Building on something else?
The same snippet installs on every builder. Pick your platform:
