Transcript Download

Allow visitors to download their chat conversation as a text file

Overview

Transcript Download lets your visitors save their chat conversations as a .txt file. When enabled, a three-dot menu appears in the chat widget header, giving users easy access to download their conversation history.

This feature is useful for visitors who want to keep a record of important information, product recommendations, or support instructions provided by your AI.

How to Enable

  1. Go to Customize - Open the widget customization page
  2. Find Transcript Download - Look for the download toggle
  3. Click to Enable - Toggle the feature ON
  4. Settings save automatically - No additional action needed

What Users See

When transcript download is enabled, visitors will see:

Three-Dot Menu Appears in the chat header next to the close button
Download Option Click to instantly download the conversation
Text File Saves as a .txt file with formatted messages

What Gets Included

The transcript intelligently handles different message types:

Text Messages All regular messages with proper line breaks preserved
Product Cards Product name, price, and link displayed as text
Bookings Noted as "[Booking Calendar]" in transcript
Images Included with [Image] tag and URL where available
Emojis Fully supported including on iOS devices
