Overview
Localization automatically translates your chat widget interface to match your visitor's browser language. When enabled, international visitors see your widget in their native language, improving engagement and user experience.
The widget detects each visitor's browser language settings and displays the appropriate translation automatically - no extra work required from you or your visitors.

Enable Localization
Turning on Localization is simple:
1
Go to Widget Settings
Open your website's Customize page
2
Find Localization Card
Look for the globe icon in the AI Settings section
3
Turn It On
Click the toggle to enable - translations generate automatically
Edit Translations
While translations are generated automatically, you can customize them:
- View & Edit Translations - Click this button to see all translations
- Edit individual languages - Click Edit next to any language to modify
- Regenerate All - Re-generate all translations if you change your original text
Note: If you update your AI Assistant Name, Initial Message, or Notification Bubble text, click "Regenerate All" to update all translations with the new content.
Best Practices
- Keep original text simple - Clear, simple text translates better than complex phrases
- Avoid idioms - Phrases like "piece of cake" don't translate well literally
- Test key languages - If you have visitors from specific countries, review those translations
- Update when needed - Regenerate translations after changing your original text
