Overview

Live Monitoring shows you all active chat sessions happening on your website in real-time. See who is chatting, what they are asking, and take over the conversation from the AI when human assistance is needed.

Sessions appear instantly when visitors open your chat widget and disappear when they leave. You get live updates as new messages come in - no refreshing needed.

Session Information

Each session card displays:

  • Country - Visitor's location based on IP
  • Device - Mobile, tablet, or desktop
  • Time - How long the session has been active
  • Messages - Total messages in conversation
  • Last Message - Preview of most recent message

Viewing vs Taking Over

There are two ways to interact with active conversations:

View Chat

Watch the conversation in real-time without interrupting the AI. Perfect for:

  • Monitoring conversation quality
  • Learning what customers ask
  • Observing AI responses
  • Training purposes
The visitor doesn't know you're watching

Take Over

Jump into the conversation and reply directly. The AI stops responding until you leave. Use when:

  • Complex questions need human touch
  • High-value customer needs attention
  • AI is struggling with the topic
  • Sensitive situations arise
Visitor sees "Live Agent" indicator

Sound Notifications

Get alerted when new activity happens. Click the sound icon in the header to choose your preference:

All Messages Sound on every new message from any session
New Conversations Only Sound only when a new chat session starts
No Sound Silent monitoring - no audio alerts

Tip: Browser autoplay policies may block sound until you interact with the page. Click anywhere on the monitoring page after it loads to enable sound notifications.

Agent Name

Set your display name that visitors see when you take over their conversation. Click the agent name button in the header to customize it.

This name appears in the chat widget when you take over, letting visitors know they're talking to a real person.

When You Take Over

Here's what happens when you take control of a conversation:

  1. AI pauses - The AI stops responding to that visitor
  2. Visitor sees indicator - Chat widget shows "Live Agent" with your name
  3. You respond directly - Type messages that go straight to the visitor
  4. When you leave - AI automatically resumes responding

Note: Sessions are specific to your website. Each website you manage has its own monitoring dashboard accessible from that website's menu.
