Standard & Pro Plans
Overview
Embeds let you add any third-party tool or webpage directly into your chat conversations. When a visitor asks about something that matches your embed's description, the AI automatically shows the embedded content.
Each embed has:
URL — the page to embed (Calendly, Google Form, Stripe, etc.)
AI Instruction — tells the AI when to show this embed
Display Mode — inline in chat, popup, or new tab
Getting Started
1
Go to the Embeds page
Navigate to Embeds from the sidebar
2
Add an embed
Click Add Embed and fill in the name, URL, AI instruction, and display mode
3
Write a clear AI instruction
Describe when the AI should show this embed, e.g. when a visitor wants to schedule a meeting or asks about availability
4
Test it
Start a chat conversation and ask something that matches your AI instruction. The embed should appear automatically.
Display Modes
Choose how each embed appears to visitors:
Inline in Chat
The content is embedded directly inside the chat message as an iframe. Visitors can interact with it immediately without clicking anything. This is the default mode.
Popup
A button appears in the chat. When clicked, the content opens in a full-size popup overlay on the same page. Visitors stay on your website. Best when the embedded page needs more space.
New Tab
A button appears in the chat. When clicked, the page opens in a new browser tab. Use this for services that block iframe embedding.
Tip: Inline mode works best for services designed for embedding (Calendly, Google Maps, YouTube). If a page doesn't load inline, try switching to Popup mode.
Use Cases
Common things you can embed:
Scheduling
Calendly, Cal.com, Acuity — book meetings directly in chat
Forms
Typeform, Google Forms, Jotform — collect information from visitors
Maps
Google Maps — show your location when asked about your address
Payments
Stripe Payment Links — let visitors pay directly from the chat
Videos
YouTube, Loom — show product demos or tutorials inline
Anything with a URL
If it has a web address, you can embed it
Writing Good AI Instructions
The AI instruction tells the AI when to show the embed. Be specific and natural:
Good examples
Show when the visitor wants to schedule a meeting, book a demo, or asks about availability
Show when the visitor asks where we are located, asks for our address, or wants directions
Show when the visitor wants to fill out a contact form or submit an inquiry
Avoid
Show this sometimes — too vague, AI won't know when to trigger it
Always show this — will appear in every response, annoying visitors
How It Works
1
You create an embed
Add a URL and describe when it should be shown
2
AI learns your instruction
The AI receives your instruction and knows when to show the embed
3
Visitor asks a matching question
When the conversation matches your description, the AI triggers the embed
4
Content appears in chat
The embedded content is displayed inline, as a popup button, or as a new tab link
Note: Some websites block iframe embedding for security reasons. If an embed doesn't load inline, try the Popup or New Tab mode instead.
