AI chatbot for Moodle Plugin Documentation

Quick guide for installing and managing the Asyntai AI Chatbot on your Moodle learning platform.

Installation

  • Go to Site administration → Plugins → Install plugins.
  • Upload the ZIP file → Click Install plugin from the ZIP file.
  • Follow the installation wizard and click Upgrade Moodle database now.
  • After installation completes, go to Site administration → Plugins.
  • Scroll down to Local plugins and click Asyntai AI Chatbot.
  • Click "Get started" and complete the connection.
  • After connecting, the chatbot is enabled on all pages automatically.

Getting Started

  • Navigate to Site administration → Plugins → Local plugins → Asyntai AI Chatbot.
  • Click "Get started" to log in or create a free Asyntai account.
  • A popup window will open where you can sign in or register.
  • Complete the connection process to link your Moodle site with Asyntai.
  • Once connected, the status will show "Connected" with your account email.
  • The chatbot widget will automatically appear on all your Moodle pages.
  • Don't have an Asyntai account? Create one for free at Asyntai.com.

Managing Your Chatbot

  • Set up your chatbot at Dashboard → Setup.
  • View chat logs and conversations in the Asyntai dashboard.
  • Customize how your AI responds, including personality, tone, and instructions.
  • Change the chatbot's appearance, position, and behavior from your dashboard.
  • Upload course materials and documentation to train your AI.
  • To disconnect, click the "Reset" button in the plugin management page and reconnect if needed.
